Boyd Holbrook in talks for Wolverine 3 villain

Actor Boyd Holbrook has been tapped to go up against Hugh Jackman in the new Wolverine sequel.
The Narcos star is in early negotiations to play the villain in Wolverine 3, which will pit him against Jackman as the titular mutant superhero, according to
James Mangold will return to direct the X-Men spin-off after previously taking charge of 2013’s The Wolverine.
The third instalment in the Wolverine saga will mark Jackman’s final appearance as the clawed character, which he has portrayed onscreen since 2000’s X-Men.
Wolverine 3 is set to hit cinemas in March, 2017.
Meanwhile, Holbrook’s Narcos co-star Pedro Pascal has also landed a blockbuster new gig. The former Game of Thrones actor, who portrayed Oberyn Martell in the hit fantasy series, has signed on to join the cast of the Kingsman: The Secret Service sequel, which will also feature Halle Berry.
Colin Firth is also rumoured to be returning for 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, even though his character appeared to be killed off in the 2014 original.
Leading man Taron Egerton hinted at Firth’s return from the dead in a cryptic post on, which he captioned, “A message from an old friend. #Kingsman”.
The post featured an image of a pair of glasses resting on a notice which read: “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.”
