Could it be true? Apparently not.
Pop princess Britney Spears is denying rumors that she has split with her honey of two years, ‘N Sync heartthrob Justin Timberlake.
Earlier reports on BBC News and Sky.com News said that the couple had indeed broken up. Unnamed sources were quoted saying that the two lovebirds had ended their relationship a week ago due to their hectic work schedules.
However, BBC News is now saying that Spears has denied the rumors. The singer told MTV Italy, “No, that’s not true. Me and Justin did not split up.”
This comes right after Spears denied rumors she and Timberlake were planning to get married on Valentine’s Day, even though she admitted they were engaged.
She told BBC News in January, “We do want to get married and have kids and stuff like that–however, maybe in 15 years’ time.”
The two first met while being Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club in 1993.
Spears‘ publicist could not be reached for comment.
