Cardi B won’t boycott Sweden as she campaigns for A$AP Rocky’s prison release

Cardi B has no plans to boycott Sweden even though fellow rapper A$Ap Rocky is currently in prison there.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker was enjoying a shopping spree in Los Angeles on Wednesday (17Jul19) when a TMZ reporter asked her if she would be joining peers like Tyga and Tyler, the Creator, who have announced plans to boycott Sweden as a protest against Rocky’s incarceration following a street fight.
“I’m not gonna ban a country that has shown me so much love but they do need to free A$AP Rocky,” she said.
Police in Stockholm apprehended and detained A$AP Rocky earlier this month (02Jul19) and he has behind bars ever since as prosecutors determine if he should be charged with aggravated assault.
Meanwhile, his lawyer has attacked lawmakers for keeping his client locked up in “inhumane conditions”.
Rod Stewart, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Justin Bieber, and Michael B. Jordan have also offered their support to the jailed star, while Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly urged U.S. President Donald Trump to get involved in his detention.
Rocky has also received support from New York congressman Adriano Espaillat, who has written letters to officials at the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Sweden asking for their help in securing the hitmaker’s release.
