Carlos Rivera to voice Simba for The Lion King fans in Latin America

Mexican singer and actor Carlos Rivera will lend his voice to Simba for the Latin American dubbed version of The Lion King.
Donald Glover has been cast in the lead role for the live-action remake of the 1984 Disney film, and now Rivera has revealed he has tackled the role for the translated version, ahead of its release in his native Mexico and beyond.
“Happy to share great news! I will voice #Simba in the version dubbed in Spanish for Latin America of the new Disney film #ElReyLeon that premieres in all theaters on July 19,” he wrote on social media. “The Lion King returns to surprise my life, it is my beautiful ‘Endless Cycle’.”
It’s not the first time Rivera has tackled the wild role – he played Simba in The Lion King musical.
“My dream was to play Simba in The Lion King. It was one of my good choices in life,” Rivera previously told Billboard.
Rivera starred in the Beauty and the Beast musical in Mexico and also appeared on the soundtrack of Disney’s Coco.
