Chance the Rapper tackles stage invader

Chance the Rapper’s Monday night (10Oct16) concert in Miami, Florida was briefly disrupted when an overzealous fan invaded the stage.
The No Problem hitmaker was performing at the Fillmore Miami Beach when a male devotee managed to evade security and rush the platform, grabbing Chance from behind mid-way through a song.
In video footage posted by crowd members online, the surprised hip-hop star appears to react quickly to the incident, turning around and tackling the man to the floor as venue officials move in to help.
The stage invasion was over within seconds, and Chance refused to let the security breach derail his show as he continued with his Magnificent Coloring World Tour set.
He has yet to publicly comment on the altercation, but it isn’t stopping Chance from returning to the Fillmore on Tuesday night (11Oct16) for the second of two gigs at the venue, where he is also encouraging attendees to register to vote in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
In a Tuesday morning post on Twitter, he wrote, “Come to my show in Miami tonight, I’m registering people to vote OUTSIDE the venue all day whether you got tix or not! #StayWokeAndVote (sic)”.
