Charli XCX wants to curate star-studded all female tour

Charli XCX wants to bring together a collection of top female pop stars to join her on a huge world tour.

The 25-year-old musician roped in male celebrities including Riz Ahmed, Ty Dolla $ign, Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth for the video for her track Boys, and now wants to bring together a host of female stars for her next major tour.

“I definitely want to tour with a lot of female artists when my album comes out,” she tells Britain’s Daily Star newspaper. “I don’t know if you could call it a festival but I love the idea of a girls world tour. Keep an eye out.”

Charli has joined the tour of another major star herself, as she appeared on stage with Taylor Swift during a 2015 performance in Toronto, Canada, and even flew on the Shake It Off singer’s private jet. The U.S. superstar’s last global trek featured a host of special guest appearances from her famous pals, including Selena Gomez, Lorde, Hailee Steinfeld and Cara Delevingne.

Writing on Twitter in December (17), the Boom Clap singer also named Taylor’s track Gorgeous as one of her favorite songs of the year, alongside tracks by Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Swedish singer Tove Lo, and also praised the video for her fellow Brit Dua Lipa’s song New Rules.

The musician, full name Charlotte Emma Aitchison, was a winner at the NME Awards in London on Wednesday (14Feb18) as Boys was named Best Track.

She did not attend the ceremony however, with female rocker Este Haim accepting the prize on her behalf.
