Charlotte Church apologises to neighbours for noisy party

Welsh singer Charlotte Church has apologised to her neighbours after police were called when her 30th birthday party became too loud.
Police were called to Church’s home in the early hours of Sunday morning (21Feb16) following noise complaints from neighbours about her garden party at her luxury estate in Dinas Powys, Wales.
Residents spoke to British newspapers about the outdoor event, with one unnamed source telling Britain’s Daily Mail that “it was like a warzone”.
Church has since taken to Twitter.com to scold her neighbours for going to the press and exaggerating the situation, before changing her tone and saying sorry.
In a series of tweets, she writes: “To some of my ‘neighbours’, I’d really appreciate you coming and speaking to me direct if there’s an issue rather than the gutter press… Also the description of my 30th party turning my village into a ‘war zone’ is utterly hysterical. Loud Abba is not similar to a war zone!!!!
“Also apologies to those who were affected by the noise. It won’t happen again… Thank you for all my birthday wishes! 30! Wooooh (sic)!”
Church, who turned 30 on Sunday, was not punished by the officers for the incident. A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “Five calls were received in relation to a loud party in the early hours of Sunday, February 21. Those responsible were contacted but no arrests were made.”
