Cheryl and Twiggy to judge RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

British popstar Cheryl is to join fashion icon Twiggy as guest judges on Rupaul’s Drag Race UK.
The duo will act as celebrity guest judges for one episode of the upcoming British version of the much-loved U.S. TV drag queen contest, alongside host RuPaul and veteran judge Michelle Visage.
The Call My Name hitmaker, who has plenty of experience as a former judge on The X Factor U.K., said in a press release: “I am a huge fan of Drag Race. I have always admired the work and dedication that goes into drag and have learned over the years that it is an art form.
“It is not only fun and glamorous but equally as skilful and admirable, I find it incredibly inspiring. I just love the make-up, creativity and the drama. I am honoured to be a guest judge!”
Former model Twiggy, one of the faces of London’s Swinging Sixties and a personal heroine of RuPaul, also revealed her love of drag queens, adding: “You see the most gorgeous women in the most glamorous outfits. I love the creativity of the clothes and the make-up. I have been to a few drag shows and they’re brilliant fun.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race has been a huge hit in the U.S. for more than a decade, and is now set to come to cross the Atlantic with a U.K. version airing on BBC Three this autumn (19).
Cheryl and Twiggy will join previously announced guest judges Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, Spice Girl Geri Horner, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall, British actress Michaela Coel, and Hacksaw Ridge star Andrew Garfield in appearing in the new series.
