Chloe Sevigny fronts new video for Russian punks

Actress Chloe Sevigny has taken on the role of a police officer for Russian punk rockers Pussy Riot’s new video.
The Boys Don’t Cry star portrays a baton-wielding riot cop in the Police State promo, breaking up small groups of masked women while also taking aim at piles of children’s toys in a trailer park.
The video also features images of U.S. President Donald Trump shaking hands with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on various TV screens as the world appears to crash and burn.
Pussy Riot are known for their outspoken criticism of Putin and famously hit headlines in 2012 when three band members were imprisoned for staging a protest performance at a church in Moscow.
The political activists have also hit out at Trump over his praise of Putin, and even caused a scene at the U.S. President’s business headquarters in New York last month (Oct17) as part of a protest about the incarceration of Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov, who was ordered to serve 20 years in a prison camp in Siberia in 2015 after he was convicted on terrorism charges relating to his refusal to recognise Russia’s forced annexation of Crimea in 2014.
