Chloe Sevigny launches first fragrance

Actress Chloe Sevigny has created her own perfume in collaboration with bosses at Regime Des Fleurs.
The Boys Don’t Cry star previously designed a collection for Opening Ceremony and an exclusive lipstick for La Bouche Rouge, and now she is moving into the fragrance market with Little Flower.
Sevigny and the founders of Regime des Fleurs, her longtime friends Alia Raza and Ezra Woods, spent more than a year testing 33 different scents before settling upon the eau de parfum’s composition, which includes blackcurrant, peony, pomelo, Turkish rose absolute, and black tea.
The 44 year old previously worked with the duo in 2015 to record a poem about St. Therese of Lisieux, who was referred to as The Little Flower, and she became the inspiration for the new scent.
“I was very involved in the process,” Sevigny told Refinery29. “I believe in them and their vision so much, and I fell in love with Regime and all their scents… We did the poem, and then they said, ‘What do you think about doing a perfume?’ It was a no-brainer.”
Talking about her new venture, Chloe also told, “I feel like fragrance is really emotional and to me… It transcends beauty… It’s our strongest sense of memory and it’s like wearable art. It’s almost like fashion to me, more than beauty. I love a nice fragrance on another person. I’m just into smelling good.”
Sevigny was also photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the Little Flower campaign, which includes provocative photos showing the Zodiac star with flowers covering her breasts.
The actress launched the fragrance in New York on Wednesday (21Aug19).
