Chrissy Teigen’s Sky-High Slit Caused A Wardrobe Malfunction at the AMAs (Photo)

Chrissy Teigen revealed more than she intended when she took to the red carpet at the American Music Awards.

The American model and TV host attended the glitzy event alongside her husband John Legend at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night (20Nov16). Chrissy certainly brought her A-game to the star-studded show, sporting a black dress by Yousef Akbar which featured a scandalously high slit, as well as towering barbed wire heels by Dsquared2, several chunky gold bangles and multiple rings.

From the front, the long-sleeved style looked innocent enough, but once the 30-year-old took a step, the gown revealed itself to be slit on both sides nearly to her underboob, with safety pins accenting the point. And the flimsy ensemble bared more than she wanted as at one point the front of her dress opened while she posed for photographers, with Chrissy accidentally flashing her crotch.

Before the mother-of-one headed to the event, she joked on Twitter that her ensemble required its own variation of a bikini wax.

“I shaved above the knee today so yes it is a big day today,” she posted, adding, “It took an hour.”

And it wasn’t only Chrissy’s gown which caused a commotion at the AMAs, as when she introduced John to the stage for his performance of Love Me Now, she took a moment at the podium to address the election of Donald Trump as the next U.S. president, with producers choosing to censor some of her speech.

“This next performer is a brilliant musician and a wonderful father who makes a pretty damn good breakfast sandwich and he has been known to write love songs about me,” she said.

“What can I say? I’m very inspiring… But his songs are bigger than either of us and on the heels of what’s been a really interesting interesting f**ked up election for all of us, I think we could all use a little love tonight.”

Unfortunately, the AMAs cut Chrissy off after “interesting,” leaving all watching at home to wonder what exactly she said.
