Christina Hendricks wouldn’t miss Mad Men reunion

Actress Christina Hendricks would be open to a Mad Men reunion, but doesn’t think it’s necessary.
The 40-year-old played Joan Holloway in the hit period drama series, which came to an end last May (15), and while she misses working with her castmates, she doesn’t think there’s any need to revisit the series anytime soon.
“I don’t think (series creator) Matt (Weiner) would ever do that,” she told Variety when asked about a reunion episode or series. “I thought he ended it perfectly. Why go in there and muddy things up? But if Matt wanted to, I’d be there.”
Christina worked alongside the likes of Jon Hamm and January Jones on the series, which debuted in 2007, and after so many years together, the actress has so many fond memories from her time on set.
“After nine years, you can’t pinpoint something,” she continued. “The whole thing was extraordinary. I think about it every day. People come up every day and say how much they miss the show. I don’t think it’s going to go anywhere anytime soon. It’s going to be a part of my life for a very long time.”
The success of the show has opened many doors for Christina, and she is now starring in new U.S. series Hap and Leonard, alongside James Purefoy and Michael Kenneth Williams.
Christina describes her character Trudy as a “classic femme fatale” who brings all kinds of trouble with her, and while the persona is worlds away from Joan, the star can see some similarities between her alter egos.
“(Trudy’s) still running the show,” she explained. “She’s got the confidence in that way, and she’s very influential.”
