Clint Eastwood to direct film about kidnapped aid worker

Clint Eastwood has signed on to make another real-life movie about an American hero.
After tackling Miracle on the Hudson pilot Chesley Sullenberger’s story in Sully, the movie veteran has turned his attention to the true-life story of kidnapped aid worker Jessica Buchanan.
Clint’s new film will be based on the memoir Impossible Odds, written by Buchanan and her husband Erik Landemalm.
Buchanan was working in Somalia in 2011 when she and a colleague were taken captive by land pirates and spent over 90 days in the desert, while her husband fought to secure her rescue.
President Barack Obama finally approved a SEAL team rescue, which resulted in the death of the men who abducted Buchanan and her co-worker.
