Colin Farrell has become the latest star linked to Disney’s live-action Dumbo remake.
The Irish actor is in talks to join the cast of the film about a flying circus elephant in the role Will Smith was initially slated to play.
Former Bond girl Eva Green is also in negotiations to play a French trapeze artist, while Danny DeVito is close to signing on as Medici, the original owner of Dumbo’s circus.
Colin is slated to portray Holt, a widowed father of two.
Tim Burton will direct the film and Tom Hanks has reportedly been approached to play the villain.
Dumbo is the latest classic Disney movie to get the live-action treatment after a string of hits including Cinderella, The Jungle Book, and Beauty and the Beast, which debuted in cinemas last week (17Mar17).
