Conductor Sir Neville Marriner dead

British conductor Sir Neville Marriner has died, aged 92.
The revered classical violinist led the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, one of the world’s leading chamber orchestras.
He passed away peacefully early on Sunday (02Oct16).
Born in Lincoln, England, Sir Neville studied at the Royal College of Music and the Paris Conservatoire. He once performed in the London Symphony Orchestra.
He was made a Companion of Honour by the Duke of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace earlier this year (16).
