Counting Crows to headline wildfires benefit concert

Rockers Counting Crows have joined forces with Francis Ford Coppola’s winemaking family to front a fundraiser for the victims of the recent California wildfires.
The state’s North Bay area was ravaged by the blazes, which ripped through fabled wine country last month (Oct17), and now The Family Coppola, BottleRock Presents and Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center have partnered for a gig to benefit the North Bay Fire Relief Fund and NomaGives charities.
Announcing plans for the gig, which Counting Crows will headline, Dave Graham, the CEO of BottleRock Napa Valley and BottleRock Presents, tells Billboard, “Nearly all of us who work with BottleRock Napa Valley and BottleRock Presents events live in the North Bay and have been affected by these devastating fires in one way or another.
“We felt it was important to also bring music directly to the North Bay to raise both money and the spirits of our friends and neighbours in wine country.”
