Hole star Courtney Love is set to front a 1,000-piece rock band at a gig in Italy.
She’ll appear as a special guest at the Rockin’ 1000 concert staged in July (18) at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, according to NME.com.
The megagroup formed in 2015 in an effort to persuade the Foo Fighters to put on a show in the Italian town of Cesena. The ruse worked and Dave Grohl and his bandmates played the concert after checking out the viral video of Rockin’ 1000’s rendition of Learn to Fly online.
According to a press release, the band is set to perform 18 rock classics, and Courtney Love will join them for songs by her band Hole.
She and Grohl have ties – she was married to tragic Kurt Cobain, who fronted Grohl’s old band Nirvana.
