Dan Smyers ties the knot

Country singer Dan Smyers is a married man.
The 29-year-old wed Abby Law in a sunset ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday (13May17), the couple’s representative tells People.com.
Smyers, who is one half of the country duo Dan + Shay, popped the question to his longtime love in November (16), with a romantic proposal on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii after three and a half years of dating.
The newyweds included their three dogs in the wedding party, dressing Chief, Joy and Ghost in tuxedos and a co-ordinating dress.
“They are the most important bridesmaid and groomsmen,” Smyers joked to People magazine back in March (17).
The singer posted a shot of himself dancing with his fiancee earlier this week (beg08May17), joking it was “practice” for their first dance.
Dan was busy touring in the run up to the big day, leaving most of the wedding planning to his fiance Law, who works in marketing. She told People they were “very much looking forward to being husband and wife”.
“We were going to try and keep it super small, but we have so many people that we love and care about and we both have decent-sized families,” she explained. “The numbers add up really quickly, but it’ll be great.”
“The wedding is going to be very representative of the both of us,” Smyers added. “We’re both vegetarians so there’s going to be a lot of vegetarian and vegan food options.”
And the couple picked Nashville for their wedding as they both agreed it was their favourite place in the world.
“It’ll be awesome to have all of our friends and family together in Nashville – a lot of them have never been here,” the country star said. “We built our love story in Nashville and it’ll be cool to get everybody there to see where it all began for us.”
