Danes & Priestley land TV awards

The Romeo & Juliet actress was thrilled to be handed the Best Actress trophy for her work as an autistic woman in U.S. biopic Temple Grandin, while Priestley won the Best Actor award for Call Me Fitz.

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star told the crowd at the Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, Italy that he much preferred working on the series than on feature films.

Greeting the crowd in Italian, he said, “For me, I enjoy the pace of work in television much more than I do in films, and that’s why I think I work in TV more than movies. I like to work at a fast pace. When you work in feature films you tend to tackle one or two projects a year and I’m a guy who likes to stay busy and work a lot.”
