Blondie star Deborah Harry is hoping Donald Trump’s presidency will lead to a new wave of punk music.
The Tide is High singer was one of the most recognizable faces of the punk movement in the late 1970s, and she admits the only thing that she sees as positive under President Trump is the rise of angry artists with something to say.
“I am speaking out on politics now,” she tells Britain’s Sunday Times Magazine. “I’m sleepless since Trump’s election.
“There’s gotta be a resistance of some sort – a protest. Music is about to regain its edge.”
