Dega Jam country music festival cancelled

Dega Jam, a country music festival featuring Blake Shelton and Toby Keith as headline acts, has been cancelled.
Ticketholders for the event, which was to be held at the Talladega Superspeedway, Alabama, on America’s Independence Day long weekend (2-4July16) have been offered full refunds.
According to local newspaper The Aniston Star, organisers cancelled the country music jamboree for business reasons, although a statement on the festival’s website gave no details about the abandonment.
“We regret to announce that despite the tremendous enthusiasm many have expressed about the Dega Jam festival, set for this 4th of July weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, the event has been cancelled,” the statement read.
“We sincerely apologize to everyone impacted by this difficult decision – fans, artists, industry partners, corporate partners, and everyone at Talladega Superspeedway.”
Other artists who were to perform at Dega Jam included Eric Church, Hank Williams Jr., Billy Currington and Tyler Farr.
