Momma’s Boys 2-Hour Special

Wow, Ryan Seacrest has produced a despicable/incredible gem of a reality program. The show, which premiered last week, chronicles three man-children looking for love in a Bachelor sort of way — but with a “What do you think, Mom?” every tiny step of the way. Last week, the three matriarch figures introduced themselves to a harem of 32 femme-bots (some nice, some very naughty) and announced their preferred “type” for each of their babied sons. No one was eliminated, but a few have already been dismissed by one momma — Mrs. B. The old-school Iraqi-Catholic mother made it clear that her son is not to entertain any girl that wasn’t a blonde — so Asians and blacks need not apply (one assertive young lady gives Mrs. B. a piece of her military-experienced mind; others, like the mousey animal protector shut their mouths). Tonight, the mothers provide their sons with their do’s and don’t’s — as in “do” this girl and definitely “don’t” do that one — and the elimination begins!
