Ah, Bill … clever, he is. Unlike Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, he avoided the Dubya-to-Barack interim — two and half boring months that’s, sadly, not so apt to Maher-style fodder. But he’s back now, ready to usher in the new President, this new era of — in his own words: ” … hope. And by hope, I mean economic collapse.” Leave it to Bill to Shepard-Fairey his own mug, but under it, it doesn’t spell out “HOPE” or “PROGRESS” like Barack’s. His spells out “HELP!” But be that as it may, Bill seems pleased about the new White House sitch (refer to his new “rule”: I take back every bad thing I ever said about the gold old U.S.A. I’ve gone from “God damn America” to “God damn, America!”). Tonight, his guests are just as outspoken as their host: editor/columnist Tina Brown, Financial Times editor Chrystia Freeland, and poli-journalist David Frum.
