Oh, goodie! Will Tom Cruise call Matt Lauer “glib” again? Or, gulp, something worse? Needless to say, Matty isn’t afraid of Tommy, despite what happened in 2005 — an attack on Ritalin, Brooke Shield’s use of an anti-depressant, a slew of Matt-you-just-don’t-know’s. This morning, Lauer will sit down with Cruise (if Cruise chooses to remain seated) and possibly discuss the Tropic Thunder actor’s fresh Golden Globe nomination, his eye patch in the upcoming Valkyrie, the latest TomKat + Suri goings-on, and what is this about he’s desperate to act on Broadway? If Lauer is smart, he’ll get something hammier than a Elvis impersonation, which is what Leno got out of Cruise last week. He’s gotta get Tommy boy to ball up his fists again …
