Now, Not So Much: You know, we all know that Jessica Biel is gorgeous. Biel herself knows that much, too, but in this month’s Allure, she goes so egomaniacally far as saying: “Yeah, it really is a problem.” She then justifies her, er, modesty with: “I have to be blunt.” Sure, there are probably times when being insanely hot is a bummer — like when you want a table by the bathrooms, or you tire of strangers smiling at you all the time. What Biel is whining about, however, is that she loses out to Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson for the juicier, meatier roles — because her face is the equivalent of sunsets and children’s laughter. Um, let us be blunt about something: Natalie and Scarlett are hardly dogs. Perhaps they’ve garnered Golden Globe and Oscar nominations — while Jessica lugs around an MTV Movie Award and a Razzie — because they can … act. Reflect on that, Jess. Perhaps your physical dazzle isn’t to blame, after all.
