Ed Begley, Jr. bracing for emotional return to Future Man

Actor Ed Begley, Jr. will find it tough to film a second season of his new show Future Man without his late co-star Glenne Headly.
The Dirty Rotten Scoundrels star passed away in June (17), five months before the drama series premiered on streaming service Hulu.
Seth Rogen and his fellow producers decided to air Headly’s completed episodes unchanged, giving them time to figure out her character’s storyline for season two, but Begley, Jr., who played her onscreen husband, admits it will be emotional returning to the set without his “dear friend”.
“Glenne Headly and I were friends for many years and we got to play husband and wife on this, and sadly she passed away near the end of the first season,” he shared on U.S. breakfast show Megyn Kelly Today. “What a loss. She was a great actress… We miss her still.”
Begley, Jr. has yet to receive a script for the next instalments of Future Man, but he will be interested to see how the plot pans out.
“They (producers) didn’t deal with it in the first season, I don’t know what they’re gonna do in the second season…,” he said. “I’m looking forward to see what they did, what surprises they have in store for all of us now.”
In the Future Man comedy, Headly and Begley, Jr. played the parents of Josh Hutcherson’s character Josh Futterman, who must prevent the extinction of the human race.
