Emeli Sande’s highly anticipated show in Cork, Ireland has been cancelled.

The Hurts singer was booked to play at the Live at the Marquee event in the Irish town on 10 July (17) with local singer/songwriter Stephanie Rainey acting as support.

However, a representative for Aiken Promotions has confirmed to Cork radio station RedFM that the gig would not go ahead.

“Further details have not yet been made available, however, the event has been listed as ‘cancelled’ on Ticketmaster’s website,” they explained.

Emeli, who is in the midst of her Long Live the Angels tour, hasn’t commented on the cancellation.
Previous artists to grace the stage at the event have included Kanye West, Elton John, Eric Clapton and Jay-Z, among others. Bryan Adams is scheduled to perform at Live at the Marquee on 11 July.
