Geri Halliwell, former Spice Girl, has appeared in the horror film Spiceworld, but will not appear in any other production for quite a while.
Formerly known as Ginger Spice, Halliwell was set to star in the film Therapy, as a mental patient who kindles a love affair with her shrink, but the London tabloid Sunday Express reports that lack of funding forced the production to a halt. At least $10 million was required to be raised for the September Films (London) project.
News of the production of Therapy generated some productive buzz at this year’s Cannes film fest, but the movie appears to be headed in the same direction as Halliwell’s recording career.
