The Hype:

Poor married working sap John Clark (Gere) has everything dreams are made of, but he still is very unhappy, yearning to fill a missing void in his life. Haunted by the gaze of a beautiful woman he sees in a dance studio every night on his way home, John decides to begin taking dance lessons himself–and meeting new people and falling in love with dancing in the process. But as he slowly puts the missing pieces of his life into the puzzle, the rest of John’s life slowly begins to fall apart.
