Fired Journey man joins rock supergroup

Fired Journey drummer Deen Castronovo has replaced Brian Tichy in rock supergroup The Dead Daisies.
Castronovo was kicked out of the Don’t Stop Believin’ group in 2015 following his arrest for offences against his then-fiancee, including domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
He spent 15 days behind bars and was sentenced to four years probation, plus counselling, and sought treatment in rehab.
Now his dark days are behind him, Deen has former Motley Crue singer John Corabi, and stars from Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy for The Dead Daisies’ fourth studio album.
A statement announcing the news reads: “Deen is here in Nashville with us where we are beginning the recording of the new album.
“We’d like to thank Brian Tichy, who has decided to pursue other projects next year. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors. We cannot wait for you guys to hear this new album we are working on – it will be a real bone-shaker!”
“I finally found my priorities and priorities are definitely not in things that I thought made me happy,” the drummer adds. “I’m filling a hole that only God and sobriety could fill. Nothing else can really take the place of being in the moment and being there for the family and realizing that.”
Following his departure from Journey, Castronovo recorded with former bandmate Jonathan Cain, while his band Revolution Saints, featuring Night Ranger star Jack Blades, released its second album in October (17).
