Foo Fighters play on in Napa Valley after sound is cut

The Foo Fighters defied California festival bosses on Sunday (28May17) by continuing to rock on despite having the plug pulled on their set after overrunning their curfew.
Frontman Dave Grohl and his bandmates wrapped up the third and final night of BottleRock in Napa Valley, but halfway through their closing performance of Everlong, sound technicians cut the power to their stage equipment as the show had surpassed the event’s strict 10pm curfew.
However, the musicians were unfazed by the loss of stage audio and played on until the song’s end, much to fans’ delight.
The Foo Fighters aren’t the first BottleRock headliners to have their sets cut short – The Cure also suffered similar issues back in 2014.
Festival organisers continue to stick to a strict cut-off time after previously receiving complaints about sound levels from local residents.
Tom Petty and Maroon 5 had headlined the other two nights of the 2017 BottleRock line-up.
