Former Rolling Stone disses British pop ban

Former Rolling Stone bass player Bill Wyman launched a vicious diatribe Wednesday against the hugely successful British pop band Hear’Say. He said that the band members, brought together for a British TV series, were nothing more than “plumpish boys and girls who mimed,” as reported by Reuters. Wyman, who was recently kicked off a European tour with his band the Rhythm Kings, said he believes that the British music industry is in a major state of decline. “The real shame is that fewer and fewer youngsters play instruments or write their own songs,” he said.
