Frank Ocean cancels headline slot at Hangout Festival

Frank Ocean has pulled out of a headlining slot at Hangout Festival.
The hip-hop star was scheduled to perform a Friday night set at the event in Gulf Shores, Alabama on 19 May (17) but has cancelled the gig due to production problems.
“Due to production delays beyond his control Frank Ocean will be unable to perform,” organisers of Hangout Festival stated in a message posted on Twitter. “He passes on his apologies & hopes to return to AL (Alabama) soon.”
The explanation was the same as the one given by the organisers of the Sasquatch! Festival in George, Washington, when he pulled out of a 26 May (17) set at their event.
French band Phoenix will fill Frank’s Hangout headline slot, while LCD Soundsystem will replace him at the Washington festival.
Representatives for the WayHome, Northside, Flow and Way Out West festivals, where Frank, 29, is scheduled to play this summer (17), all told Pitchfork Media that the Swim Good musician was still planning to perform.
