Garth Brooks tune tops drinking songs list

Garth Brooks’ Friends In Low Places has topped a new countdown of the best country music drinking songs.
The track beat out George Jones’ I Am What I Am and Hank Williams, Jr’s 1979 hit Family Tradition to reach number one in the new Taste of Country online poll.
Hank Williams, Jr. and his father feature heavily in the top 10, with Junior’s All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight and his There’s a Tear in My Beer collaboration with his dad Hank Williams making the cut.
The top 10 is:
1. Friends in Low Places – Garth Brooks
2. I Am What I Am – George Jones
3. Family Tradition – Hank Williams, Jr.
4. Whiskey River – Willie Nelson
5. You Never Even Called Me By My Name – David Allen Coe
