Gavin Rossdale & Jennifer Hudson sign on to judge The Voice U.K.

Rocker Gavin Rossdale is following in ex-wife Gwen Stefani’s shoes after signing on to serve as a judge on TV talent show The Voice.
Whereas the No Doubt singer joined the panel on the U.S. version of the show last year (15), Bush frontman Gavin has become the latest judge and mentor on the British series.
He and Oscar-winning former American Idol star Jennifer Hudson have been confirmed as the programme’s latest recruits, and they’ll join Tom Jones and Will.i.am when the show returns later this year (16).
The Black Eyed Peas star is the only remaining judge from last season, while Jones is back to replace Boy George, who initially replaced the music veteran in the show’s famous spinning chairs.
The Welsh singer tells The Sun, “I’m looking forward to returning to my big red chair on The Voice U.K. I had some great times on the show and can’t wait to again discover and help some brand new talent.”
Hudson is thrilled to be joining the panel, stating, “I couldn’t be more excited… The U.K. has always been so supportive of me since the beginning of my career so I’m really looking forward to sharing my point of view with the contestants.”
Gavin’s former wife Gwen met and fell in love with her new man Blake Shelton while filming The Voice a year ago, shortly after divorcing the Bush singer.
The current coaches of the show in America are Shelton, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys.
