Gosling eyeing acting retirement

The Notebook star began his showbiz career at the age of 12, as a ‘Mouseketeer’ on The Mickey Mouse Club, before landing critical acclaim for his serious roles in art-house films.

He is now gaining a reputation as one of Hollywood’s top stars thanks to a string of high-profile parts, but Gosling is adamant he will soon grow tired of acting and wants to carve out a new career.

He tells Britain’s The Independent, “I’ve been doing this since I was 12… I don’t want to act much longer; I can’t do one thing my whole life. I know there are only so many characters I’ll be able to play. It will be over whenever the inspiration dries up.”
