Gwyneth Paltrow’s teenage daughter often ‘mortified’ by her behavior

Gwyneth Paltrow’s teenage daughter finds it “mortifying” when she is “silly” in public.

The Iron Man actress shares daughter Apple, 14, and 12-year-old son Moses with her ex-husband – Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night (09Jan19), Gwyneth shared that she constantly embarrasses Apple now that she’s in her teen years.

“I mortify her. Totally,” she sighed. “If I do anything silly in public, the blood drains from her face. We walked into a store the other day and there was some really great song playing, I forget what it was, and she just looked at me, and she was like, ‘Do not even think about (dancing right now).'”

Gwyneth went on to speak about her “intimate” wedding to producer Brad Falchuk in September and the ’80s dance party they had at the reception.

And the Goop lifestyle brand founder also promoted her new cookbook, The Clean Plate: Eat, Reset, Heal.

“It’s super delicious food but it’s very clean food. It’s all packed with flavour, but you would never think you were cleaning up your diet. That was kind of the rule that we imposed on ourselves when we were writing it,” the 46-year-old said, before adding that she does treat herself. “What I try to do is eat pretty clean until dinner, then all bets are off.”

Elsewhere in the show, Gwyneth joined host Jimmy for a fun game of Slay It, Don’t Spray It, in which they had to take turns singing karaoke to pop songs, though were sprayed with water if they messed up the lyrics.

She gave renditions of Ariana Grande’s No Tears Left to Cry and Christina Aguilera’s Genie in a Bottle, but had her face soaked when she forgot the words each time.
