Our intrepid team of party elves descended on a huge private mansion in nearby Bel-Air to give me the scoop on Flaunt Magazine’s 6th annual holiday party hosted by JUST CAVALLI, the latest young, hip brand from uber-designer Roberto Cavalli.
Cavalli himself arrived with his good gal pal and fashionista Brittany Murphy, as the two hugged and danced around playfully on the press line-tiny Brittany even showed off her impressive pipes when our Hollwyood.com video crew got her to sing Christmas carols for their cameras, Michelle Rodriguez followed suit and Jonathan Silverman made it a multicultural sing-along, warbling “Dredel, dredel, dredel…”
Guests were treated to endless amounts of Ciroc cocktails and glasses of Moet and Chandon, while munching on mini-cheeseburgers and chicken fingers. Mischa Barton, Leelee Sobieski, Jared Leto and Michelle Rodriguez helped out by bringing toys for needy children-the tres chic charity trend of the season-to benefit Para Los Ninos. Jared even got into the holiday spirit by lobbing snowballs at his unsuspecting pals.
Cavalli-clad Barton and beau Brandon Davis were seen making out all night without the benefit of mistletoe; the Hilton sisters sat in a private booth with Cavalli and his crew; and Thora Birch bolstered the holiday family affair theme by bringing her brother Bolt.
Newly engaged Rebecca Gayheart looked angelic dressed all in white, while Michelle Trachtenberg worked dutifully all night to avoid a devilish late-year Nipplegate scandal in a hot, revaling dress by Just Cavalli: “I double-taped the dress, just to make sure,” admitted the ex-Buffy beauty, who attended with up-and-coming actor/boyfriend Shawn Ashmore.
Among the other celebs at the Just Cavalli bash who sampled mini-makeovers at the L’Oreal station and partied in a poolside tent where partiers watched a performance by the band Thistle were Evan Rachel Wood, Leonor Varela, Kathleen Robertson, Gary Dourdan, Kylie Bax, Marley Shelton, hairstylist/reality TV star Jonathin Antin and Antonio Sabato, Jr.
Can’t get enough party coverage? Here’s more:
Parties Divinely Designed and Off the Hook
The approach to a seasonal spectacle doesn’t get any different than two of my favorite yearly events, Divine Design 2004 and Motorola’s 6th Anniversary Party benefiting Toys for Tots, with Jaime Pressly, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and more!
I Love Paris in the Winter
Paris Hilton was shivering like her tiny pal Tinkerbelle as she braved the frigid red carpet and L.A.’s unseasonably cold December weather to host her own holiday season bash and introduce her brand new Paris Hilton Fragrance, which one images will end up being gifted and re-gifted among hard-partying heiresses everywhere.
Messing and Mullalley’s Mistletoe Moment
“Crack’d Xmas,” the seventh annual holiday fundraiser benefitting the Trevor Project–a free telephone support line designed to provide help and assistance to young gay people who are struggling and often feeling suicidal as they come to terms with their homosexuality-paid tribute to Will & Grace stars Debra Messing and Megan Mullally, and the two comedy queens-no pun intended-did not fail to raise to the same-sex spirit of the occasion.
Rodeo Aglow: Lighting Up 90210
For 19 years the annual Beverly Hills Holiday Lighting Ceremony has illuminated the giant wire “tree” atop the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel (where Julia Roberts and Richard Gere did buisness in Pretty Woman) at the intersection of chi-chi Rodeo Drive and bustling Wilshire Boulevard.
