[IMG:L]The best part of the show is the beginning with Heroes actors Greg Grunberg (Parkman) and Masi Oka (Hiro) rapping the NBC jingle.
9:01: Wise African dude: “Evil forces gather…choose your own path or have it chosen for you.”. Blah, blah, blah.
9:03: Papa Petrelli, Arthur, is telling Peter he is only here to help save the world. But Peter isn’t buying it. “I’m going to make you pay for everything you’ve ever done!” Peter screams at his dad. “Son, until you change your attitude, you’re grounded.” Funny (not really).
9:05: “Elle?” “Hey, cheerleader” Elle has come to the Bennet household, all alone in the world and unable to control her powers.
9:14: I want Mama Petrelli to wake up. Sylar makes her appear — in his head. She tells him he is her favorite and it’s time for him to break out of the cell and go kick some ass. “Make mommy proud.” This is getting ridiculous.
9:17: Claire and Elle decide to go to Pinehurst, to see if they, too, can be cured. Woohoo, it’s a party!
9:23: “Pinehurst, sounds like a dishwashing detergent.” — Mrs. B, best line of the night.
9:25: Speedster, sent back to kill Matt, can’t do it, especially after he tells her they are going to get married and love each other.
9:27: “You think you are better than everyone else?,” Peter is still yelling at his dad. “I AM better, Peter, it’s not a belief, it’s a fact.” Papa Petrelli is a bit of an ego maniac, no?
9:28: Sylar — or I guess I have to call him Gabriel now that he’s a good guy [eyes roll] — rescues Peter from dad’s clutches but gets caught himself. He’s got to meet his dad, after all.
9:37: Are Matt and Speedster dead, at the hands of fear-harnessing Knox? Now THAT would be something…
COMMERCIAL
9:42: No, unfortunately. Matt played “mind mojo” on Knox. Darn. Later, Speedster calls Arthur to say she’s got Matt convinced she’s on his side, but then looks at the sleeping Matt with affection. Ah, conflicts arise.
9:47: I guess Gabriel believes Arthur’s con game. Peter comes back, and Gabriel tells him he’s going to stay right where he is. Then he throws Pete out the window — who lands right in front of Claire and Elle, who are walking up to the building.
9:52: Peter doesn’t die, however. He’s bleeding but he is still alive. Claire helps him, but Elle goes into the building. She wants to stop hurting.
9:54: “Peter won’t stop,” Gabriel says to Arthur. “Of course he won’t. He’s a Petrelli. Revenge is in our blood. But wonder why he didn’t die in that fall.” Gabriel has no idea why. Yes, he does. He’s pretending and saved Peter’s life.
9:55: Claire takes Peter to a safe place, and Nathan shows up. Peter tells him their father is still alive and he took his powers. Nathan has to go to this Pinehurst place to see what’s up.
9:59: Ends with wise African dude giving Hiro some disgusting paste — which promptly makes our Japanese friend pass out. Ando is concerned, of course. “He had to choose his path,” African dude says. Whatever.
