Hollywood Medium Tyler Henry stunned to connect with Whitney Houston’s spirit

TV medium Tyler Henry was surprised to channel the spirit of Whitney Houston during a recent reading with Bobby Brown because he didn’t recognise the late superstar’s ex-husband.
The My Prerogative hitmaker is among the celebrities who signed up for a session with Henry as part of season two of his Hollywood Medium show, but the clairvoyant had no idea he would be contacting Whitney from beyond the grave because he isn’t informed of his guest’s identity ahead of time.
“I knew who Whitney Houston was, but I didn’t recognise Bobby Brown, and so when he opened the door (to his home), he was dressed in sweatpants,” Tyler recalled on U.S. breakfast show Today. “It was just a regular house, and I went in, because I never know who I’m reading.”
In a trailer for Brown’s episode, which airs in America next week (begs15May17), Tyler relays a message from Whitney to her ex about the cause of her 2012 death, which was ruled as an accidental drowning with the “effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use” as contributing factors.
“She’s very insistent to acknowledge, ‘No matter how I died, I need them to know the heart…,'” Tyler told Bobby in the reading, “and there’s a feeling of having a susceptibility to heart arrhythmia, and also… just to a heart issue, but I can distinctly tell there are other aspects to this passing… ‘People think I died of something else…’ and there’s an emphasis on just saying, ‘People don’t know the full picture of to what extent this really affected me.'”
The session suggests Whitney really struggled with heart problems in the lead-up to her death, which many blamed on her well-known drug use.
“It’s a really interesting position to be in…,” Tyler explained of his ability to relay messages from the dead on Today, “but my goal really is to heal, and this (Brown) was someone who clearly needed the closure, needed the messages, and it felt amazing to be able to provide that.”
The new episodes of Hollywood Medium also include a reading with actor/singer Alan Thicke, who died from a heart attack in December (16), not long after the sit-down.
Sharing the experience, Tyler said: “When I sat with Alan, he was a total sceptic, and essentially what happened is a loved one who died of a heart condition came through and said, ‘Alan, get your heart checked, don’t be stubborn like I was.’ He was a sceptic and ultimately, sadly, passed away.”
Alan’s widow Tanya gave Tyler her blessing to air the emotional episode, because she wanted the show to “really honour his life”.
