Hootie manager calls it quits

Rusty Harmon, who has managed the rock band Hootie and the Blowfish for 12 years, resigned last week, according to The Associated Press. Harmon helped the band sign to Atlantic Records in 1993. A year later, the band released the multiplatinum Cracked Rear View. The band since sold more than 15 million albums to date. Drummer Jim Sonefeld told The Associated Press that the band is writing songs for their next album, due out next year.
