Howard Stern gathers stars for Beatles’ Revolver tribute

Musicians including Cheap Trick and Jewel have joined U.S. radio host Howard Stern to mark the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ album Revolver.
A number of acts have recorded their own versions of tracks on the iconic 1966 album, which will air on a special episode of Stern’s Sirius/XM radio show on 7 October (16).
Titled Howard Stern’s Tribute to The Beatles’ Revolver, the show will feature Jewel’s version of Eleanor Rigby, as well as Cheap Trick’s interpretation of She Said She Said.
Other stars appearing on the show are Joe Bonamassa, The Milk Carton Kids, James Taylor, Madisen Ward & The Mama Bear, Grace Potter, Gov’t Mule, Grouplove, J Mascis, O.A.R., Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Living Colour.
According to editors at Billboard.com, Bonassa’s version of Taxman, the album’s opening track, was recorded at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England – a venue which became legendary through its hosting of The Beatles in their early years.
The tribute show will not fall on the exact 50th anniversary of the legendary album’s release, which occurred back in August (16).
