Iman Marks Second Anniversary of David Bowie’s Death with Tattoo Tributes

David Bowie’s widow Iman has marked the second anniversary of the rock icon’s death by sharing photos of family tattoo tributes.

The Let’s Dance hitmaker lost his battle with cancer on 10 January, 2016, and his model wife noted the sad date online.

Posting shots of two pieces of skin art on social media, Iman wrote: “You will always be part of us. Jan 10th #BowieForever #EverAndEver.”

The first photo is a tattoo of a crescent moon wrapped around the words “Daddy xxx, 1947-2016”, while the second depicts a dagger with “David” written on the handle.

It’s not clear who the tattoos belong to, but sources claim at least one can be found on the arm of Bowie and Iman’s 17-year-old daughter, Alexandria Zahra Jones.

The supermodel also reminisced about her romance with the music icon by sharing four black-and-white portraits of the couple on Tuesday (09Jan18).

“My favorite love story is ours! #BowieForever #ForeverAndEver,” she captioned the set of sweet snaps, which featured the loved-up pair smiling and laughing together on different sofas as Iman and David embraced.

Iman and Bowie’s filmmaker son Duncan Jones also paid tribute to the late rocker on what would have been his 71st birthday on Monday (08Jan18).

The director wrote: “I’m actually pretty cheery today! Dad lived 10 lives in the years he had! There are many lessons he taught me, but today’s most important one is this: Don’t beat yourself up. Ever. Learn, pick yourself up and go do something new and brave!”
