Janice Dickinson’s fiance loses medical licence

Former supermodel Janice Dickinson’s doctor fiance can no longer practise medicine after allegedly breaking the code of ethics.
Psychiatrist Robert Hugh Gerner surrendered his licence in June (16), a year after officials at the California Medical Board filed a formal complaint against the doctor regarding a relationship he allegedly embarked upon with a female patient before he began dating Dickinson.
According to TMZ.com, Los Angeles-based Gerner romanced the unidentified woman from 2004 to 2011, and even lived with her during the last three years of their relationship.
Documents filed in the case revealed it wasn’t the first time the medic had been disciplined for ethics issues – in 1994, he was handed a 60-day suspension for sexual misconduct with another patient, reports the publication.
Gerner and Dickinson have yet to comment on the controversy.
The couple became engaged in 2012, months after meeting on a blind date at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel.
The marriage will be 61-year-old Dickinson’s fourth.
