Jean-Claude Van Damme challenges rival to a fight at Comic Con in Mexico

Film foes Jean-Claude Van Damme and Jason David Frank faced off at a Comic Con event in Mexico City on Saturday (04Nov17).
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie star Frank thought Van Damme wanted to end the two-decade feud at the La Mole Comic Con when he was asked to meet the Belgian star, and he agreed it was time to bury the past.
But it quickly became clear their feud was still very fresh as Jean-Claude demanded an apology for comments made about him in 1995, while challenging the martial arts star to a fight.
“It was all a setup,” Frank tells The Blast, claiming Van Damme wanted to settle things then and there, demanding, “Let’s throw down”, as cameras rolled.
The stars agreed to an MMA-style brawl as the altercation became physical and the former Green Power Ranger put the actor in a headlock. They were separated by security staff.
It still isn’t clear if the two bitter rivals are planning a proper showdown.
