Jennifer Lawrence Done with X-Men Franchise After Upcoming Installment

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she will be leaving the X-Men franchise after next year’s (16) X-Men: Apocalypse.

The Oscar winner has played shapeshifter Mystique in two films – 2011’s X-Men: First Class and last year’s (14) 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, but, in a new interview with MTV News, she confirmed the next instalment of the blockbuster sci-fi series will mark her final appearance.

When asked if the rumours of her departure are true, Lawrence replied, “It is my last one, yes.” Lawrence is slated to begin filming on X-Men: Apocalypse later this year (15), with a release date set for May 2016.
