Johnny Galecki Reprising Roseanne Role for Revival

Johnny Galecki is reprising his Roseanne character for the show reboot.

The Big Bang Theory actor, who played David Healy in the sitcom from 1992 to 1997, missed the first table read for the TV revival, sparking rumors he may not be involved,

But star Roseanne Barr confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday (28Nov17) that Johnny is, in fact, returning to the show, writing: “We have got our Johnny Galecki back on Roseanne this episode – what a joy to work with such a deeply empathetic actor. Very moving 4 (sic) all of us. #JOY.”

According to Entertainment Tonight, Galecki is rehearsing this week, ahead of filming his episode on Friday. It’s unclear if he will just appear in one episode of the eight-episode run, or multiple ones.

Roseanne originally ran for nine seasons from 1988 to 1997. The reboot will premiere next year.
