Judge Dredd TV series in development

A TV show based on comic book character Judge Dredd is in development.
Bosses at IM Global and independent U.K. games developer and publisher Rebellion are teaming up to create Judge Dredd: Mega City One, which will be set in the future.
“This is one of those seminal sci-fi properties that seems to only become more relevant with age,” a statement from executive producer Mark Stern reads. “Not only is it a rich world with biting social commentary, but it’s also fun as hell! As a fan of the comics and both films, it’s a dream come true to be able to work with (Rebellion owners) Jason and Chris (Kingsley) in adapting this for television.”
Judge Dredd was created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra in 1977. The character was portrayed by Sylvester Stallone in a 1995 film, and Karl Urban in 2012.
The show is in the early stages of development and a cast and premiere date has not been announced.
