Julianna Margulies to play magazine boss in TV series adaptation of Dietland

Former E.R. and The Good Wife star Julianna Margulies has joined the cast of the TV adaptation of Sarai Walker’s hit novel Dietland.
The actress will play an ambitious magazine editor who becomes the target of a feminist terrorist organisation, according to Deadline.
Margulies will team up with Joy Nash for the 10-episode comedy drama, which will debut next year in America.
“Julianna is diabolically talented and beautiful, which makes her perfect to play our Kitty,” producer Marti Noxon. “I can’t wait to start and for the world to get a load of this show.”
Margulies has been in the news recently after claiming she once had a near miss with disgraced movie boss Harvey Weinstein after she refused to show up at his hotel suite alone.
With the producer’s assistant in tow, she claims she spotted candlelight and a romantic dinner setting for two as Harvey opened the door in his bathrobe.
Realising that his guest was not alone, he curtly complimented Julianna on her audition for his film and shut the door.
A number of big names, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashley Judd, and Angelina Jolie have accused the filmmaker of sexual misconduct following the publication of exposes in the New York Times and New Yorker, which detail the producer’s bad behaviour.
