Julianne Moore to play Gloria Steinem

Julianne Moore has been cast as U.S. feminist icon Gloria Steinem in a new film.
The actress will star in My Life On The Road, which will be based on Steinem’s memoir of the same name. Julie Taymor will direct the movie and playwright Sarah Ruhl has been hired to write the script.
The movie will centre on Steinem’s rise as a leading feminist in the U.S. and Steinem herself will serve as an executive producer on the project.
A production date has yet to be announced.
Moore is known for starring in biopics and previously portrayed U.S. police lieutenant Laurel Hester in Freeheld. She also starred as former U.S. vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in HBO film Game Change.
